Not automatically.
If you are unhappy with a Staff Member, you should notify Quarterdeck as soon as reasonably possible so the issue can be reviewed properly. Whether any refund, credit, replacement, or other remedy is available will depend on the circumstances.
What should I do first?
You should raise the issue with Quarterdeck as soon as possible and, where practicable, before the end of the Assignment.
The earlier Quarterdeck is told about a problem, the better the chance of reviewing it in context and supporting a practical resolution.
Does being unhappy automatically mean I get a refund?
No. A complaint or performance concern does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
Quarterdeck will review the issue and, where appropriate, may support a practical resolution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include clarification of the agreed scope, operational guidance, discussion with the Staff Member, adjustment of arrangements, or consideration of a replacement or alternative.
What affects whether a refund is possible?
This will depend on things such as:
the nature of the issue
when it was reported
whether Quarterdeck had a fair chance to address it during the Assignment
whether the issue relates to suitability, conduct, performance, safety, or something outside Quarterdeck’s control
whether any replacement or alternative arrangement was offered
What if the issue is serious?
If Quarterdeck reasonably considers that the issue involves misconduct, safety, safeguarding, illegality, or serious unsuitability, it may investigate the matter, suspend or withdraw the Staff Member from the Assignment, propose an alternative where appropriate, or take other action it reasonably considers necessary.
Can I decide the refund myself?
No. You should not make direct deductions, set-offs, or separate financial arrangements outside Quarterdeck. Any refund, credit, or other remedy must be agreed through Quarterdeck.
In summary
If you are unhappy with a Staff Member, contact Quarterdeck as early as possible. A refund is not automatic, but Quarterdeck can review the issue and decide whether any refund, replacement, credit, or other remedy is appropriate.
