If there is a problem during the assignment, you should notify Quarterdeck as soon as reasonably possible.
The earlier Quarterdeck is made aware of an issue, the better the chance of reviewing it properly and supporting a practical resolution while the assignment is still ongoing.
What kind of problems should I report?
You should contact Quarterdeck if you have concerns about:
conduct
suitability
performance
safety
welfare
delivery of the assignment
any other issue affecting the agreed role or working conditions
Why does timing matter?
If a problem is raised while the assignment is still ongoing, Quarterdeck may be able to assess the issue in context and help with a practical solution.
If you wait until much later, it may be harder to investigate properly or resolve the issue effectively.
What will Quarterdeck do?
Quarterdeck will use reasonable endeavours to review the matter and, where appropriate, support a practical resolution.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
clarifying the agreed scope
providing operational guidance
discussing the issue with the Staff Member
adjusting arrangements where appropriate
considering a replacement or alternative arrangement
Does Quarterdeck have to provide a replacement?
Not always. Quarterdeck is not obliged to provide a particular remedy unless that is expressly required by the Staff Booking Terms or by law.
What if the issue is serious?
If Quarterdeck reasonably considers that the issue involves misconduct, safety, safeguarding, illegality, or serious unsuitability, it may investigate the matter, suspend or withdraw the Staff Member from the assignment, propose an alternative where appropriate, or take any other action it reasonably considers necessary.
In summary
If there is a problem during the assignment, contact Quarterdeck as early as possible. Quarterdeck will review the issue and, where appropriate, try to support a practical resolution based on the circumstances.
