If a confirmed Staff Member becomes unavailable or is no longer suitable for the Assignment, Quarterdeck may propose a replacement or alternative candidate. Quarterdeck will use reasonable endeavours to recommend someone who is reasonably suitable for the role, dates, location, experience level, and service requirements already agreed.
Will Quarterdeck try to replace the Staff Member?
Yes. As a general principle, Quarterdeck will use reasonable endeavours to replace any Staff Member who is unable to complete planned work, provided a suitable replacement is available.
Will the replacement be identical?
Not necessarily. A replacement is assessed on suitability for the Assignment, not on being identical in every respect to the original Staff Member. The aim is to provide a reasonable operational alternative based on the brief already agreed.
What if I do not want the replacement?
If Quarterdeck proposes a replacement Staff Member or a reasonable alternative arrangement and you reject it, Quarterdeck may treat the Booking as cancelled by you, and the normal cancellation and refund rules may apply.
What if no suitable replacement can be provided?
If no suitable substitute can be provided, or if Quarterdeck cancels the Booking, Quarterdeck will refund any sums paid by you for the affected Booking.
Is this different for full management or fleet solutions?
Yes. For larger B2B, seasonal, or full management solutions, Quarterdeck may agree separate terms covering replacement coverage, standby support, rotation planning, and broader seasonal continuity. The fleet staffing model is designed around replacement coordination, contingency planning, and ongoing operational oversight rather than one-off placement only.
In summary
If the original Staff Member cannot proceed, Quarterdeck will normally do its best to recommend a suitable replacement. If no suitable replacement can be provided, Quarterdeck will refund sums paid for the affected Booking. For larger managed staffing solutions, separate replacement and continuity terms can be agreed.
