You can see and download everything we hold on you yourself, from your account, right now. That is the fastest route and it is the complete record.
Two different questions
People usually mean one of two things, and they have different answers.
"What was taken in the incident?" — that is already answered, individually, in the security notice we sent you. It was generated from your own record rather than a general list, so it tells you what applied to you. Keep that email. It is your record of the incident and it stays in your inbox whatever you do with your account. The categories in general terms are in What was copied in the incident?
"What do you still hold about me?" — that is the download below. It shows what is in your account today, which is not the same set as what was copied in August.
How to download it
Log in at quarterdeck.co and open your profile edit page. The Delete my account button at the bottom opens a dialogue that lists what we currently hold on you, category by category with a count for each, and offers Download my data.
Downloading deletes nothing. Take the copy and press Cancel — your account stays exactly as it was. Deletion only happens if you separately confirm it; see How do I close my account and delete my data?
The spreadsheet contains your own data only. It leaves out what is not yours to receive even though it touches your record, and internal system references, which are secrets rather than personal data.
Why we do not email it to you
We do not send personal data out by email, and we would rather explain that than have it read as obstruction.
We cannot confirm who is behind an email address. This incident was about identity details — and for a smaller group, bank details — so whoever holds them knows enough to ask us convincingly for your file. Emailing a document to an address that says it is you is the one thing we should not do right now.
Logging in proves it is you in a way an email cannot. Your password was among the data copied, so change it when you log in — see Do I need to change my Quarterdeck password?
If you would rather not log in again
Have us delete the account instead. If what you want is to be gone rather than to read the file, tell us at notice@quarterdeck.co and we will action it.
Or ask us anyway. If you cannot log in and you do want the copy, say so. We will verify who you are another way and provide it. That takes longer — up to the statutory month — but the right exists and we are not going to make the button the only way to use it.
Worth asking for specifically
Because you have worked with us rather than travelled as a guest, more of your record is retained under legal obligations. If you want to know which parts those are, ask in writing and we will set that out — it is the clearest way to see what a deletion would and would not remove.
