What medical, dietary, and accessibility information do I need to disclose?

Learn what medical, dietary, allergy, accessibility, and fitness information you must share with Quarterdeck before an Academy, how to update it, and what happens if you do not.

You must inform Quarterdeck in writing, as soon as reasonably possible and in any event before the start of the Course, of anything that may affect your safe participation or that may require reasonable adjustments, additional support, safety planning, or logistical arrangements.

What to disclose

  • medical conditions, recent injuries, or illness

  • allergies, including food allergies

  • disability or mobility issues

  • dietary requirements

  • medication you take

  • accessibility requirements

  • any other circumstance that could affect your safe participation

Keep the information up to date

All information you give Quarterdeck must be complete, accurate, and current. If anything changes before or during the Course — including your health, fitness, or medical condition — tell Quarterdeck as soon as reasonably possible.

Quarterdeck may also request further information, such as a doctor's certificate or other supporting documentation, where this is reasonably needed to assess your suitability or make adjustments.

Will Quarterdeck accommodate my needs?

Quarterdeck will use reasonable endeavours to consider and, where appropriate, accommodate notified requirements. However, not every Course, Course Location, or activity will be suitable for every individual, and not every requested adjustment will be possible.

What happens if I don't disclose?

If you don't share information that is required, or if Quarterdeck reasonably determines that your participation would be unsafe — for you or others — or that your needs can't be reasonably accommodated, Quarterdeck may refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate your participation in all or part of the Course. In those cases, the standard cancellation and refund rules will apply.

Emergency contacts

If you provide personal data about another person — for example, an emergency contact — you confirm that you have their permission to share that information with Quarterdeck.
