Can I apply no matter what nationality I am?

Describes what nationalities and passport are accepted to academy and to work.

Updated over 6 months ago

Yes, we welcome applicants from all nationalities. What matters isn’t the passport you hold, but the visa and work permit rules of the country where the assignment takes place. These rules vary depending on your nationality and the location of work.

EU Citizens

  • Generally have the most flexibility within the EU (Croatia, Greece, Italy, France, etc.).

  • No additional work permits are normally required for EU-based assignments.

Non-EU Citizens

  • You can still apply and work with us, but restrictions may apply:

    • Croatia: Often limited to 90 days without a residence permit.

    • Greece: Full work permits are required for all non-Greek citizens, regardless of nationality.

  • Exact rules differ depending on your nationality and local regulations.

Non-EU Destinations

We also operate in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Tahiti, Thailand, and more. Each country has its own entry, visa, and work policies.

⚠️ Important:
It’s your responsibility to make sure you meet the visa and work permit requirements for the destinations you’re assigned to. Quarterdeck will provide guidance and documentation where possible, but legal compliance ultimately rests with you as the individual worker.
